Clearview Golf Club (Canton, OH) was the first golf course built, owned, and operated by African Americans. Founded by Bill Powell in 1946 as a response to then-segregated public courses, Clearview is a National Historic Site today, and remains a popular destination for golfers of all backgrounds today.
The Powell family still owns and operates Clearview.
